WHO WE ARE
The Australian-American Association and the American Community is a wonderful group of Australian and American individuals, families, military, and companies. What holds us all together is an interest in America and the strong allegiance between the two countries.
We celebrate the holidays of both nations, whether it’s a 4th of July picnic, Thanksgiving dinner, Anzac Day luncheon, St Patrick’s Day pub meal, and many more.
In addition, we have all sorts of other activities including, but not limited to, our Golf Group, our bi-monthly Dining Around Town get-togethers, monthly Happy Hours, as well as cocktail receptions for visiting US Naval ships and much more!
Member services include
› Transitioning Guidance – this is to help any of the newer arrivals, as well as
their Australian partners. We give a “helping hand” as there are several
within the organization who have gone through transitioning themselves
› A comprehensive newsletter published a minimum of four times a year
› Notifications from the US Consulate which you need to know
› Skills and Services Directory so you can list your service or skill as well as finding other members who can help you
› Through a special alliance with St George Bank, you can get extra customer service, especially if you are new in Australia. They have staff ready to help
› Membership pricing to all events, with some events for members only
› Notices via email on a regular basis on any information deemed useful
